Your son or daughter has loved horses, animals and nature all their lives and frankly can’t get enough of being on the farm. So why not give them something to talk about, something they’ll never forget: A Day at the Farm!
Cherry Ridge Farms mini-day Campers will learn so much about Cherry Ridge Farm life in a safe, friendly environment and get a taste of life on the 137 beautiful acres that we, our four legged friends, and many other creatures call home.
Our busy day will start off at 10 AM sharp in the stable barn feeding the hungry horses and learning to muck out a horse stall and learn the many mysteries found in a horse stall, plus what horses eat and why.
Next we'll meet the ever so popular Mr. Buck Hollywood, our buckskin gelding, to learn about horse safety and the various tack used to ride a horse. Then we'll go to the Indoor Arena and learn to mount and dismount our horse and to walk off and stop on command.
After we finish our exciting equine experience, we'll jump on board a hayride and head out on an adventure to the meadow, creek and garden for an agri-education adventure. We will explore insect and bird life in the meadow, splash in the cool waters of White Oak Creek searching for critters and scout for the perfect spot under a majestic Sycamore tree to eat our picnic lunch. Then its back on the hay wagon to head to the farm's organic garden to get to work in the dirt; digging, weeding, planting and best of all eating, some garden fresh produce .
When we get back to the barn we will do a little more riding remembering what we learned. We’ll finish this most memorable day with a special craft. Pictures will be taken throughout the day and a link will be provided for you to view our happens of the day and so your son or daughter can share all of their memories with family and friends. A Cherry Ridge Farms camp T-shirt is included too. Pick up is at 3:00 pm at the stable.
All this fun can be had for $75.00 each, but because we pair up, it is great fun if you can invite a friend to come and make memories with.
